About

Adam Hilton is a composer, musician, sound artist, sound designer, and sound recorder. He has created and performed in association with NMASS, SoundSpace, Collid Arts, COTFG, Phonography Austin, The Contemporary Austin, Salvage Vanguard Theater, among many other spaces and organizations.

His work as label head and event organizer for Accrue Cassettes, as musical director, sound designer, and engineer for theatre, as recording engineer with Shine Studios and King Electric Recording, and as maker of electro acoustic works has given him a breadth of experiences alongside many communities and cultural contexts.

As a recording artist he has released instrumental and ambient works on his own and in numerous collaborations. He previously produced and performed as Linen Closet, a band spanning genres from orchestral chamber pop to electro-folk. He has also contributed recordings and sound design to award-winning video games.
